Job summary

First Interstate Bank is seeking a Network Engineer II to design, implement, maintain, and support enterprise network infrastructure and communications systems. You will monitor performance, manage upgrades, and ensure security and high availability across LANs, WANs, VoIP, and UC environments.

The role requires 7–9 years in IT, strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS, plus hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and VoIP.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field preferred.
• 7-9 years IT experience required.
• Advanced knowledge of Ethernet and TCP/IP essential.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements network solutions including LANs and UC environment.
• Installs/configures/maintains routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, VoIP systems, and related services.
• Monitors performance, plans upgrades with minimal disruption.
• Maintains network documentation and diagrams.
• Ensures security and data protection across networks.
