Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Network Security Architect to design and implement a secure network architecture across on-premises and cloud environments.

You will work closely with engineering to ensure designs are implemented exactly as specified, from firewall policies to cloud network segmentation. The role requires seven or more years in security architecture, strong knowledge of compliance frameworks, and hands-on experience with cloud platforms and security tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• Seven+ years in an Information Security Architect role.
• Experience with regulatory frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001, COBIT).
• Hands-on knowledge of network security, encryption, and access controls.
• Experience with cloud architectures (Azure, AWS, GCP).

Responsibilities

• Designs network security architecture from the ground up, including firewall and segmentation design.
• Lead end-to-end migrations: assess, design target state, build configurations, manage cutover.
• Collaborate with engineering through build and implementation, closing gaps between design and execution.
• Review, identify gaps, and remediate legacy configurations and security gaps.
• Document architecture in conceptual and physical forms with detailed configurations.
