Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Network Security Architect to design and implement the security architecture that protects our environment, spanning on-prem and cloud. You will work hands-on with engineering through build and cutover, ensuring architecture aligns with security goals and business needs.

You will lead migrations, assess current states, and deliver concrete, implementable designs while staying current with emerging threats and technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• Seven or more years in Information Security Architect roles.
• Experience with regulatory frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001, COBIT).
• Knowledge of network protocols, segmentation, and access control.
• Experience with encryption, data protection, and privilege design.
• Experience with Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• CISSP, GIAC or similar certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designs network security architecture from the ground up including firewall policy and cloud networking.
• Leads end-to-end migrations: assess, design target state, build, and cutover.
• Collaborates with engineers during build and implementation to adapt designs in real time.
• Reviews architectures, identifies gaps, and remediates legacy configurations.
• Documents architecture with configuration and diagrams, not only high-level views.
