Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Network Security Architect to design and implement a comprehensive security architecture for on-premises and cloud environments. You will collaborate closely with engineering and other stakeholders to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant designs through detailed implementation.

The role requires strong hands-on experience with firewall platforms, cloud security, and DevSecOps, and offers a pathway to lead security initiatives across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• Seven+ years in an Information Security Architect role.
• Knowledge of NIST 800/CSF, ISO 27001, COBIT, etc.
• Experience with Windows and Linux, regex and JSON.
• Experience with cloud security and DevSecOps.

Responsibilities

• Designs network security architecture from the ground up including firewall policy and configuration, segmentation, Zero Trust, and cloud architecture in Microsoft Azure.
• Leads end-to-end migrations: assess, design target state, build configuration, and manage cutover.
• Collaborates with engineering through build and implementation, closing gaps between architecture and engineering.
• Reviews existing architecture, identifies gaps, designs remediation including hands-on debt remediation.
• Documents architecture in conceptual and physical forms with underlying configuration.
