Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Network Security Architect to design and build our network security architecture across on-prem and cloud environments, including firewall and segmentation design, and cloud network architecture in Azure.

You will work hands-on with engineering through builds and cutovers to ensure architectures are implemented as designed. The role sits in the Chief Information Security Officer Office, reporting to the Director of Security Architecture and Engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in an Information Security Architect role.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and information security frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001, COBIT).
• Advanced knowledge of network technologies incl. segmentation and access control.
• Advanced security tech knowledge incl. encryption and data protection.
• Experience with Windows and Linux systems.
• Experience with APIs.

Responsibilities

• Designs network security architecture from the ground up, including firewall policy/configuration and cloud network architecture.
• Leads end-to-end migrations from assessment to cutover.
• Collaborates with engineering during build and implementation to adapt designs in real time.
• Reviews and remediates gaps in existing security architectures.
• Acts as technical expert and advisor to engineering, IT, and business partners.
• Documents architecture in conceptual and physical forms with configuration details.
