Job summary

Meriplex is seeking a Network Administrator to work with customers on day-to-day network administration and troubleshooting within a high-availability data center environment. You will participate in circuit activations, managed services onboarding, and perform configurations and upgrades on customer contracts.

The role requires hands-on experience with Windows networking including Windows Server 2008+, IIS, Active Directory, DNS, and scripting with VB and batch.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on operations experience in a high-availability network and data center environment.
• Significant experience with IIS, Active Directory, Windows networking administration, and knowledge of web technologies.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Windows operating systems for servers and workstations, including Windows Server 2008.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a direct point of contact for customer, service provider and internal staff interaction.
• Monitor and maintain operating systems, network configurations, software applications, and hardware.
• Administer and monitor system availability and performance tools.
• Add and enhance monitoring objects for SNMP and various systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems.
• Update and create internal articles and/or documentation.
• Work closely with internal and external customers.
• Trouble shoot equipment connectivity and perform layer 1-3 troubleshooting.
• Perform loop testing to determine and isolate problems on the path.
• Provide technical support to internal staff as well as external customers.
