Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with major internet routing protocols.
• 4+ years of Linux/Unix experience.
• Experience with automation scripting in Bash, Python, and Perl.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement changes on the network.
• Lead network projects in sustaining engineering, deployment, scaling, and optimization.
• Sustain AWS customers' networks by diagnosing, mitigating impact, and resolving large-scale networking events.
• Operate and troubleshoot routing, interconnectivity, platforms, performance and configurations issues; including low level application interaction with Unix systems.
• Drive and support innovation from Top of Rack to the Network Border and everything in between.
• Collaborate with the Network/Infrastructure organization on configurations standards and tools.
• Work with Network/Systems/Software teams for fast roll-out of new designs and products.
• Maintain standards across the networking toolset and ensure compliance with policies.
• Deliver simple, sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes.
• Collaborate with escalation engineers/resolvers.
• Create and review documentation and process regarding deployments and recurring issues.
