Job summary

FHLBank Topeka is seeking an experienced network professional to design, implement, and maintain networks across office, data center, and cloud environments. You will plan architectures, configure hardware and software, monitor performance, and ensure security in collaboration with IT security teams.

The role requires a college degree and 5+ years of experience, with Cisco certifications highly regarded. Hybrid work with on-site responsibilities and after-hours support as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires college degree; Cisco certifications are highly regarded.
• 5+ years of related network engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, switching, routing, and wireless.
• Experience with Cisco ACI is highly regarded.
• Proficiency with network diagnostic and monitoring tools; familiarity with security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design network architectures including LANs, WANs, VPNs, and other types.
• Configure and install network hardware and software.
• Monitor network performance and address issues to maintain uptime.
• Collaborate with IT security on firewalls and IDS/IPS; maintain baseline security configurations.
• Diagnose and resolve network issues to minimize downtime.
