Job summary

Epic, located near Madison, WI, is seeking a network engineer to install, configure, and support campus and cloud networks. This role involves evaluating technology and influencing changes in Epic's internal infrastructure, with a focus on modern switching, routing, firewall rules, and WAN design.

You'll work with Terraform and Ansible to support infrastructure as code, joining a small, collaborative team that keeps Epic running for healthcare customers nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; academic and professional success track record.
• Experience or interest in switches, routers, access points, and/or UPSes.
• Proficiency with Cisco enterprise hardware; CCNA or CCNP certification helpful.
• Relocation to Madison, WI area (reimbursed).
• Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
• COVID-19 vaccination required.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support campus and cloud networks.
• Evaluate technology and influence changes in Epic's internal infrastructure.
• Investigate and implement modern switching and routing platforms; design and troubleshoot WAN connectivity.
• Configure firewall rules; support security posture.
• Leverage Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure as code.
