Job summary

Epic, based near Madison, WI, seeks a Network Engineer to install, configure, and support campus and cloud networks. You will evaluate technology, influence infrastructure changes, and implement modern switching/routing platforms while configuring firewalls and troubleshooting WAN links.

Join a small, collaborative team focused on infrastructure as code with Terraform and Ansible, helping Epic serve some of the nation’s largest healthcare organizations with reliable network services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent, with strong academic and professional track record.
• Experience or interest in switches, routers, access points, and/or UPSes.
• Proficiency with Cisco enterprise hardware; CCNA/CCNP certifications are helpful.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support Epic campus and cloud networks.
• Evaluate technology and influence changes in Epic's internal infrastructure.
• Investigate and implement modern switching and routing platforms; configure firewall rules.
• Design and troubleshoot WAN connectivity; collaborate on global network architecture.
• Leverage Terraform and Ansible for deployments (IaC) as part of a small, cross-functional team.
• Help keep Epic’s network environment running to support healthcare customers.
