Job summary

Scale Computing is seeking a Deployment Technician to execute and support customer installation projects by configuring network hardware, providing real-time support, and ensuring successful deployments.

Responsibilities include on-site and remote installations of firewalls, switches, and wireless APs; guiding onsite technicians; documenting milestones; and updating Jira and DaySmart statuses.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years deployments/IT support experience.
• Strong networking fundamentals (IP addressing, VLANs, DHCP, switch configurations).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with Slack, Google Workspace, Jira, and DaySmart.

Responsibilities

• Install remote and on-site network hardware (firewalls, switches, wireless APs).
• Support onsite technicians via Google Meet, Dialpad, or similar platforms.
• Manage multiple installations concurrently and track milestones.
• Update task statuses in Jira, DaySmart, and related systems.
• Escalate issues appropriately through Slack or escalation channels.
• Maintain responsiveness and clear communication during scheduled shifts.
• Mentor and assist in onboarding new Deployment Technicians.
