Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Network Deploy Technician to join the AWS infrastructure operations team in the United States.

You will work with minimal supervision to support stability and scalability of next-generation networks and help automate deployment practices. You will collaborate with internal customers and vendors to drive project execution, troubleshoot complex networking issues, and follow established procedures for hardware installation and maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma.
• 1+ years of hardware, infrastructure cabling, network deployment or data center operations experience.
• Industry standard certification is a plus (e.g., CCENT/Network+).
• Experience with network troubleshooting tools and protocols.
• Understanding of routers, switches, load balancers and firewalls.
• Familiarity with Cisco IOS/JunOS/Linux command lines.

Responsibilities

• Manage work and priorities through a ticketing system and workflows.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
• Troubleshoot networking, routing and inter-connectivity issues.
• Patch panels and cabling decisions for connectivity.
• Travel up to 20% within the geographical work area; some international travel may be required.
• Support deployment, basic configuration and rollout of hardware.
