Job summary

IT Job Board - Tech Jobs Portal in USA is seeking a VoIP Technician to install, program, and deploy cloud phone systems built on NetSapiens. The role blends on-site client work with remote programming, including phone staging, call-flow configuration, and go-live testing.

You will train end users, document configurations, and support project cutovers while collaborating with managers, engineers, and vendors to ensure a smooth deployment and excellent client experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in telecommunications, VoIP, or related networking/telecom work.
• Experience installing, configuring, or supporting business phone systems and cloud voice platforms.
• Good understanding of VoIP call flows, hosted voice features, and device deployment.
• Ability to follow deployment checklists, document work accurately, and enter time daily.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with clients; professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, program, and deploy cloud-based VoIP phone systems on NetSapiens.
• Program users, extensions, devices, call queues, auto attendants, schedules, and voicemail.
• Stage, test phones, map users/extensions, and validate pre-deployment readiness.
• Support cutovers and go-live events, including E911, fax testing, and user acceptance.
• On-site installations and network integrations at client locations; provide go-live support.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and vendors to ensure project success.
• Document progress in ConnectWise or similar PSA, including test results and time entries.
• Provide end-user training on phone system features and common user functions.
• Assist with project closeout and update documentation for future deployments.
