Shermco Industries is seeking a NETA Field Service Technician to travel to customer sites and perform inspection, testing, and startup of electrical systems from 480 V to 600 kV. You will conduct transformer tests, relay calibration, and power metering, while rotating on-call duties and adhering to safety procedures.

A strong background in EPC or EE, NETA certification, and travel readiness are required. This role invites hands-on field work with growth opportunities in a national service

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Electrical Power & Controls or EE degree from ABET college.
• NETA Certification (I-IV) or similar desired.
• Minimum 2 years of switchgear testing & troubleshooting experience.
• Proficient PC skills including email, internet, data entry; Excel familiarity.
• Ability to travel up to 40% and work flexible hours.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• OSHA 30, MSHA, NFPA 70-E training preferred; may be provided.

Responsabilités

• Travel to customer sites locally/regionally to inspect, test, troubleshoot, and start-up electrical systems.
• Perform data collection and testing on LV to HV systems (up to 600 kV) and relays.
• Test and calibrate switchgear, circuit breakers, and relays; use PowerDB.
• Respond to emergencies during on-call rotations.
• Maintain safety procedures and complete required documentation.
