Job summary

Shermco Industries, Inc. seeks a Field Service Test Technician to travel to customer sites and perform testing and commissioning of high- and low-voltage equipment. You will conduct transformer tests, relay calibration, and switchgear inspections while collecting data and ensuring safety compliance.

Candidate must have 2+ years of experience, a relevant degree, NETA certification preferred, and be willing to travel up to 40% with occasional overnight stays. OSHA/ NFPA training can be provided.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years of experience performing switchgear testing and troubleshooting.
• Associate degree in Electrical Power & Controls or EE degree; military training acceptable.
• Must be able to travel and work safely following electrical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and start-up electrical systems at customer sites.
• Collect data and perform transformer and switchgear testing.
• Rotate on-call duty and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Maintain safety standards and accurate documentation.
