Job summary

Shermco Industries, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to travel to customer sites and perform testing and data collection on low to high voltage systems. You will inspect, troubleshoot, test switchgear and relays, and conduct startup procedures for industrial and commercial clients.

Role requires travel, strong PC skills, and NETA certification or equivalent. On-call rotations and occasional overtime are expected; a safety-focused candidate with 2+ years of experience will fit best.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2+ years of experience performing switchgear testing & troubleshooting.
• Strong PC skills including email, internet, data entry and Microsoft Excel; PowerDB a plus.
• NETA Certification (I, II, III or IV) or similar desired.
• Must be willing to travel periodically and drive locally/regionally.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, perform start-up and data collection on electrical systems at customer sites.
• Test high voltage equipment and perform relay calibration and metering tasks.
• Rotate on-call duty and respond to customer emergencies as needed.
