Job summary

Shermco Industries is a leading provider of electrical testing and maintenance services seeking a NETA Field Service Technician to travel to customer sites, inspect and test high-voltage equipment, and collect data for troubleshooting and startup tasks.

The role requires a minimum 2-year degree in Electrical Power & Controls or an ABET-accredited EE degree, 2+ years of relevant experience, and a willingness to travel up to 40%. Safety training and certification are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience with switchgear testing and troubleshooting (2+ years).
• Ability to drive locally and travel overnight.
• NETA Certification or similar desired.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot and collect data on electrical systems from 480 V to 600 kV.
• Perform transformer and relay testing and calibration.
• Rotate on-call duties and respond to customer emergencies.
