Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Neonatology physician to join a busy inpatient service in a Level III NICU/PICU setting. The role offers in-house shifts and a 24/7 Pediatric Hospitalist service within a larger health system, supported by strong staff and a robust referral network.

Qualified candidates will have an MD/DO with Illinois licensure, and ALS is preferred. Board certification/eligibility in Neonatology is considered advantageous for this employed opportunity.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required.
• Illinois medical license required prior to hire.
• Advanced Life Support preferred (AHA or Red Cross accepted).
• Board Certification/Eligibility in Neonatology is desired.

Responsibilities

• In-house shifts.
• Provide 24/7 Neonatology coverage.
• Support a Level III NICU and PICU.
• Collaborate with in-house staff and pediatric subspecialists.
• Utilize a strong referral base within a busy health system.

What Minimum Requirements You'll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
