Job summary

St. David's North Austin Medical Center in Pflugerville, TX, is hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) focused on neonatal and pediatric care.

Under supervision, you will provide respiratory care to patients of all ages in accordance with hospital guidelines and service excellence standards. Requirements include NBRC-RRT, state licensure, ACLS, BCLS, NRP, PALS within specified times, and an Associate Degree.

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days
• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days
• Neonate Resuscitate within 90 days
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt within 90 days
• NBRC-RRT: Registered Respiratory Therapist
• RRT/RCP-State: Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner
• Associate Degree completed

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes work and completes assignments promptly
• Completes all required documentation with accuracy
• Demonstrates competency in airway care including suctioning, oral and nasal airway care, cuff pressure monitoring and extubation
• Performs routine patient assessment and interprets respiratory dysfunction
• Performs quality control procedures
• Adheres to the Company's values and Code of Conduct
• Gains competency in new procedures as they are added to practice
• Supports lead therapist duties as assigned
• Reflects SDH Service Excellence in interactions
• Other duties as assigned
