Job summary

Intermountain Health American Fork Hospital in Utah seeks a Patient Care Technician for the NICU. You will support newborn care as part of a dedicated team, performing tasks under licensed supervision, and may cover Health Unit Coordinator duties as needed.

The role requires a Utah CNA with BLS, strong communication, and basic computer skills. Schedule includes two 12-hour shifts, across days/nights with weekends and holidays, and a starting hourly pay of $18.40+ with benefits.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Utah.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated basic computer literacy skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver basic patient care (toileting, bathing, linen changes, hydration) with excellent customer service.
• Report and document patient care findings promptly; alert RN of condition changes.
• Monitor patients and assist with telemetry as required.
• Transport medications to the RN and support the care team as needed.
• Collaborate with RNs and interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal care.
• May perform Health Unit Coordinator duties (phones, orders, unit records).
• Implement the plan of care as delegated and ensure safety.
