Job summary

GM Automotive Transport is seeking a detail‑oriented Dispatcher to coordinate Non-Emergency Medical Service moves, primarily inter-facility door-to-hospital transports and related routing tasks.

You will monitor routes, manage driver communication, support scheduling, and deliver responsive customer service while maintaining accuracy and adherence to company policies. The role offers a fast-paced environment to gain experience and grow in NEMT.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of dispatching experience required.
• EMS or public safety dispatcher experience preferred.
• Strong reading and writing English.
• Navigate web-based software; proficient with Google Docs/Sheets.
• Previous customer service and scheduling experience.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent typing speed and accuracy.
• Professional phone etiquette and strong multitasking.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and review routing software for dispatching and routing of NEMT drivers; proactively manage and modify routes/schedules to improve services throughout the shift.
• Monitor multiple vendor portals for requests and real time updates; multitask effectively.
• Handle driver calls for scheduling issues and field situations; escalate when needed.
• Provide stellar customer service while coordinating new trip requests.
• Resolve problems and/or complaints quickly and efficiently.
• Relay instructions from supervisors, messages and emergency information.
• Maintain knowledge of company policies, procedures and memorandums.
• Follow established formats in receiving service requests.
• Assist all GM Automotive Transport drivers and support office phone coverage.
