Job summary

Valmont is seeking an NDT Inspector - Associate for 2nd shift in El Dorado, KS. This role evaluates fabricated materials through dimensional checks and nondestructive testing, under a Level II guidance.

You will generate NDT reports, maintain records, and coordinate with the Quality Supervisor to meet production goals and safety standards. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or higher with 2–5+ years in fabricated steel, Level I NDT capability within 90 days, and proficiency

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 5+ years of work/education experience or an Associate's Degree with 2+ years' experience or Bachelor's Degree
• 2 years' experience in fabricated steel environment
• Ability to perform basic mathematic calculations, including fractions to decimals
• Ability to use basic measuring tools to ensure dimensional accuracy
• Level I NDT certifications or ability to obtain within 90 days
• Ability to operate NDT testing equipment
• Ability to work effectively with plant employees, supervisors, management and customers
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Responsibilities

• Test and evaluate products to ensure conformance to specs
• Make decisions on codes and specs under guidance
• Interpret NDT reports and evaluate quality accordingly
• Have authority to reject material or stop work to minimize risk
• Maintain workflow and communicate issues to supervisor
• Generate and maintain NDT reports and records
