Job summary

Ideal candidates have 5+ years as PM of record on heavy civil projects, proven NCDOT experience, and the ability to lead field teams while coordinating with owners, inspectors and vendors. Relocation to the central NC region is welcomed.

Qualifications

• PM of record on heavy civil, highway, bridge or utility work for a contractor.
• NCDOT project experience required; be ready to name the jobs.
• Experience leading field teams, subs, and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Run NCDOT roadway, bridge and utility projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Own budget, schedule, cost reports, forecasting and margins on every job.
• Submit cost and income projections and act on variances early.
• Lead superintendents, field engineers and subs to hit production, quality and safety.
• Serve as main contact for NCDOT, owners, engineers, inspectors and vendors.
• Issue subcontracts and purchase orders; manage subcontractor performance.
• Handle change orders, pay estimates, submittals, claims and contract documentation.
• Run weekly project meetings on schedule and cost; coordinate with estimating on bids.
• Maintain strong safety culture on every site.
