Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years as PM of record on heavy civil, highway, bridge or utility work.
• NCDOT project experience as PM required.
• PM of record must have run projects start to finish; not an APM/Engineer role.
• Contractor side builders only; design/inspection backgrounds not suitable.
• Strong on cost control, schedules, change orders and field-teams management.
• OSHA 30 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Run NCDOT roadway, bridge and utility projects as PM of record, from preconstruction through closeout.
• Own the budget, schedule, cost reports, forecasting and margin on every job.
• Submit accurate cost projections and act on variances early.
• Lead superintendents, field engineers and subcontractors to hit production, quality and safety.
• Serve as the main contact for NCDOT, owners, engineers, inspectors and vendors.
• Issue subcontracts and purchase orders and manage subcontractor performance.
• Handle change orders, pay estimates, submittals, claims and contract documentation.
• Run weekly project meetings on schedule and cost, and coordinate with estimating on bids.
• Keep a strong safety culture on every site.
