Job summary

The University of Northern Iowa is seeking a softball coach to support all aspects of a Division I program, including recruiting, player development, and game strategy. The role involves specialized instruction for outfielders and helping advance the team’s offensive performance.

You will assist with recruiting campaigns, campus visits, eligibility processes, and coordination of travel and events, while contributing to fundraising efforts and donor engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus at least four years of collegiate softball or baseball coaching or playing experience.
• Ability to abide by NCAA, MVC, and UNI rules.
• Experience with data capturing tech and video/data scouting programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports all aspects of a successful NCAA Division I softball program.
• Provides coaching and development for outfielders and contributes to offense performance.
• Assists with recruiting, campus visits, and eligibility processes.
• Coordinates team travel and logistics; oversees game day operations.
• Assists with fundraising and donor relations.
