Job summary

The University of South Dakota is seeking an Assistant Softball Coach – Pitching to support the head coach in managing a NCAA Division I program in Vermillion. The role includes recruiting, developing the pitching staff and coordinating training, along with academic liaison and clinic duties.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred), D1 experience preferred, and the ability to travel and work weekends and evenings. Knowledge of pitching analytics tools is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required; master’s preferred.
• Experience with collegiate softball, especially Division I, preferred.
• Knowledge of Rapsodo, Synergy or similar tech to aid development.
• Strong communication, organization and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist head coach in recruiting, development and daily pitching staff training.
• Coordinate pitching staff development and game preparation.
• Liaise with academics and other campus departments.
• Assist with camps, clinics and program administration.
