Job summary

University of South Dakota is seeking an Assistant Softball Coach – Pitching to support the head coach in a NCAA Division I program. Responsibilities include recruiting, development and training of pitching staff, and coordination with academics and other departments.

Qualifications emphasize a Bachelor degree, master's preferred, D1 experience favored, and familiarity with pitching tech such as Rapsodo or Synergy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required, master’s preferred.
• Applicants must have knowledge of a collegiate softball program, preference given to those who have D1 experience.
• Preferred to have knowledge of Rapsodo, Synergy or other technology to assist in development.
• Candidates must have excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills.
• Must have the ability to travel, work weekends and evenings when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment, development and everyday training of pitching staff.
• Assist with training and development in other areas of team/players on and off the field.
• Liaison for academics and other departments on campus.
• Assist with camp and clinics, and administration.
