Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, a world leader in aircraft engines, is seeking an NC programmer for on-site roles in Middletown, CT. You will plan, create, develop and implement programs for multiple machine tools and provide shop support through production cycles.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Engineering, 5+ years in manufacturing engineering (Master's +3+ years also considered), and proven experience with graphic programming, part modeling and simulation tools including UGNX and Vericut.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
• Master's degree or higher with 3+ years of related experience can also be considered.
• Experience with graphic programming, part modeling and program simulation software, including UGNX and Vericut, and able to utilize process monitoring software.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new programming software, code and analytical tools.
• Strong technical, communication, interpersonal, time management, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Experience with Rotating Hardware, Airfoils and continuous improvement projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• The NC programming position requires ability to support programming projects utilizing various machine tools, controls and programming software.
• Candidate must have demonstrated experience with planning, creating, developing and implementing the programs and associated processes.
• Candidate will own programs through implementation into production and provided necessary shop support through the development and production cycle.
