Pratt & Whitney's Columbus Forged Blades Module Center (CFB) seeks a Principal Process Engineer- NC Programmer to support programming across multiple machine tools, controls and software. The candidate will own programs through production and provide shop-floor support throughout development cycles.
The role requires expertise in graphic programming, part modeling and program simulation using NX and Vericut, plus experience with postprocessor development and process monitoring tools.
Competenze
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 8+ years in engineering, manufacturing operations or related work OR Master's degree with 5+ years of related experience.
- Demonstrated experience with graphic programming, part modeling and program simulation software; ability to use process monitoring software.
Mansioni
- Programming of airfoils, roots, and spindles made from various alloys (Inconel, Titanium, Aluminum)
- Selection of new capital equipment and bringing it into production
- Participating in New Product Introduction (NPI) projects
- Collaborating with NC programming team to advance airfoil processing technology
- Developing postprocessors and standard work for machines
- Driving process improvement to reduce cost and lead time
