Job summary

Pratt & Whitney's Columbus Forged Blades Module Center (CFB) is seeking a Principal Process Engineer- NC Programmer to join our programming team in onsite Columbus, GA. You will own programs from development through production, writing and optimizing NC programs for airfoils, roots, and spindles using advanced tooling.

The role requires a STEM degree and extensive experience with NX and Vericut, plus postprocessors and process monitoring software.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 8+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing operations or related work environment OR a Master's degree and 5+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing operations or related work environment.
Demonstrated experience with graphic programming, part modeling and program simulation software, including NX and Vericut and be able to utilize process monitoring software.

Responsibilities

Programming of airfoils, roots, and/or spindles made from various alloys to include Inconel, Titanium, and Aluminum
Selection of new capital equipment and bringing the new equipment into production
Participating in NPI (New Product Introduction) projects
Collaboration with a strong NC programming team to transform the future of the business with latest-in class technology an techniques for processing airfoils
Process improvement projects on existing hardware to improve product cost and quality and reduce lead time
