Job summary

Prattwhitney in Middletown, Connecticut is seeking an NC programming engineer to support programming projects across machines, controls and software. You will plan, create, develop and implement programs and related processes, own programs through production, and provide essential shop support through the development and production cycle.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in engineering or related field with extensive manufacturing engineering experience; a master’s degree with 5+ years also

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering (or equivalent).
• Master’s degree with 5+ years of related experience considered.
• Experience with graphic programming, part modeling and program simulation software, including UGNX and Vericut.
• Ability to utilize process monitoring software.
• Strong technical, communication, interpersonal, time-management and organizational skills.
• Experience with rotating hardware, airfoils and continuous improvement projects preferred.

Position Overview

Location: Middletown, Connecticut (US-CT-MIDDLETOWN-220A). Position Type: Onsite. U.S. citizenship required. No security clearance required.

What You Will Do

The NC programming position supports programming projects utilizing various machine tools, controls and programming software. The candidate will plan, create, develop and implement programs and associated processes, own programs through implementation into production, and provide necessary shop support through the development and production cycle.

• Higher education (Master’s degree) with 5+ years of related experience also considered.
• Demonstrated experience with graphic programming, part modeling and program simulation software, including UGNX and Vericut.
• Ability to utilize process monitoring software.
• Strong technical, communication, interpersonal, time‑management, presentation and organizational skills.
• Experience with rotating hardware, airfoils and continuous improvement projects is preferred.
