ConnectDotsSolution LLC is seeking a Batch Operations Technician to support the NC FAST program for NC DHHS. The role focuses on daily batch processing operations, monitoring workflows, and investigating processing exceptions to maintain reliability across multiple servers and applications.

The position requires flexibility to rotate among all three evening and overnight shifts and a hybrid work arrangement in Raleigh, NC.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise batch processing or production IT operations.
• Experience executing, monitoring, and troubleshooting scheduled batch jobs.
• Ability to analyze processing exceptions, application logs, and job failures.
• Understanding of incident management, troubleshooting, and escalation procedures.
• Experience supporting production environments involving multiple servers or applications.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow detailed operational procedures and respond promptly to production incidents.
• Availability to rotate among all three required evening and overnight shifts.
• Ability to meet the hybrid work requirements in Raleigh, NC.

Responsibilities

• Execute and monitor scheduled enterprise batch processing jobs in production environments.
• Verify batch processing results and support nightly production operations across multiple servers.
• Perform first-level analysis of batch failures, data interface processing exceptions, and system logs.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve routine batch processing errors.
• Escalate unresolved incidents according to established on-call support procedures.
• Collaborate with application support and functional teams to ensure timely issue resolution.
• Analyze production workflows and recommend improvements to batch scheduling and job performance.
• Provide rapid operational support during outages and critical production incidents.
• Assist with workload automation forecasting and scheduling optimization.
• Work with technical design teams to support backup, recovery, and business continuity requirements.
• Collaborate with application teams and business stakeholders to define service levels and incident management procedures.
• Maintain accurate operational records and follow established production support procedures.

The selected candidate will support daily enterprise batch processing operations, monitor production workflows, investigate processing exceptions, and help maintain reliable batch operations across multiple servers and applications.

This role requires flexibility to work rotating evening and overnight shifts outside standard business hours.

• Experience with enterprise workload automation or batch scheduling tools.
• Experience supporting large-scale government or enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with data interfaces, job dependencies, and automated workflows.
• Experience with production incident management and service-level agreements (SLAs).
• Knowledge of backup and recovery processes and business continuity requirements.
• Experience identifying opportunities to improve batch processing performance.
  

Work Schedule and Location

This is a hybrid position based in Raleigh, NC 27699.

Candidates must be available to rotate among the following shifts:

• 5:00 PM – 1:00 AM
• 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• 1:00 AM – 9:00 AM

The rotation schedule and onsite attendance requirements will be determined by the client.

Candidates outside the Raleigh area who are willing to relocate at their own expense may be considered.
