Job summary

Serco is seeking a Technical Publications Librarian to manage the Navy MILSATCOM program’s technical documentation in the Newport, Rhode Island area. You will coordinate with engineers, logisticians, and government staff to keep manuals, reports, and training materials current and easy to access.

The role emphasizes document control, configuration management, and large-volume data handling with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Update and revise technical documents to ensure current versions are available to personnel
• Maintain and organize technical manuals, engineering documents, logistics products, reports, procedures
• Support configuration and version control of technical publications and related updates
• Manage program documentation on Government drives, SharePoint, and approved repositories
• Maintain folder structures, file naming conventions, and document indexes
• Assist with formatting and production of manuals, reports, procedures, and guides
• Support development of OJT materials and training documents
• Coordinate with engineers, logisticians, writers and SMEs to maintain technical information
• Maintain document inventories, trackers, revision records, and status reports
• Support organization of Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) products and government deliverables
• Review shared repositories to remove outdated or duplicated files
• Support data calls, document reviews, audits, and information requests
