Job summary

Serco Inc. in Middletown, RI, leads PORTS program project management supporting US Navy training systems. This role partners with the Program Manager, customer and project team to drive schedules, budgets and deliverables with DoD compliance and quality metrics.

The successful candidate will have DoD clearance eligibility, a STEM or management degree, 5+ years of PM experience, and strong MS Office skills, with travel up to 10% and a proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• US citizen with the ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied science, or management.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience including profit and loss.
• Familiar with software development projects.
• Solid experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MSProject).
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between Program Manager, Customer, and project team.
• Review status of projects and budgets; review project work products; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items in accordance with DoD requirements.
• Adhere to quality objectives, technical metrics, and schedules.
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status.
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects.
