Job summary

Serco Inc. in Middletown, RI is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the PORTS software/hardware training systems program for the US Navy. You will coordinate daily operations, manage schedules and budgets, and brief leadership and Navy customers on progress.

The role requires DoD eligibility, a STEM degree, and at least 5 years of management experience including P&L responsibilities. The ideal candidate has familiarity with software development projects, strong communication skills,

Qualifications

• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied science, or management.
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience including profit and loss.
• Familiar with software development projects.
• Solid experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between Program Manager, Customer, and project team.
• Review status of projects and budgets; review project work products; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items in accordance with DoD requirements.
• Adhere to quality objectives, technical metrics, and schedules.
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status.
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects.
