Job summary

Serco Inc. in Middletown, Rhode Island, is seeking a Project Manager to lead day-to-day operations on the PORTS program, coordinating with the Program Manager, customer, and project team to deliver high-quality Navy training systems.

The ideal candidate is a US citizen who can obtain a DoD Secret clearance, holds a bachelor’s degree in a technical or management field, has at least five years of PM experience (including profit and loss), and is proficient with Microsoft Office and MS Project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied science, or management.
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience including profit and loss.
• Familiar with software development projects.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain DoD clearance.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and liaison between Program Manager, Customer, and project team.
• Review status of projects and budgets; review project work products; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items in accordance with DoD requirements.
• Adhere to quality objectives, technical metrics, and schedules.
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status.
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects.
