Job summary

Serco is seeking a Project Manager for the PORTS program in Middletown, Rhode Island. You will oversee day-to-day operations, manage budgets and schedules, and serve as the liaison between the program manager, the customer, and project team to deliver high-quality simulation-based training systems for the Navy.

The role requires a US citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance, a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, and at least 5 years of management experience including P&L.

Qualifications

• US citizen with ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied science, or management.
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience including profit and loss.
• Familiar with software development projects.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products including MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and liaise between Program Manager, Customer, and project team.
• Review project status, budgets, work products, and manage schedules; prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items in accordance with DoD requirements.
• Adhere to quality objectives, metrics, and schedules.
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status.
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals.
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects.
