Job summary

Serco is seeking a Project Manager in Middletown, Rhode Island to lead PORTS program efforts supporting the US Surface Navy. You will coordinate with the Program Manager, customers, and team to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery of simulation-based training systems and related software/hardware deliverables.

The role requires a US Citizenship with ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance, a 5+ year track record in project management for software-enabled initiatives, and strong communication

Qualifications

• Be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.
• Have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied science, or management
• Have a minimum of 5 years of management experience including profit and loss
• Be familiar with software development projects
• Have solid experience using Microsoft Office products (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MSProject)
• Travel up to 10%

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between Program Manager, Customer, and project team
• Review status of projects and budgets; review project work products; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items in accordance with DoD requirements.
• Adhere to quality objectives, technical metrics, and schedules
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects
