Job summary

Red 6 Aerospace, Inc. is seeking a Director of Business Development to lead its Navy portfolio from Orlando, FL. The role targets a mission-focused leader with Navy experience, BD leadership, and expertise in modeling & simulation and flight training.

You will build Navy strategy, manage the BD lifecycle, and coordinate with product, engineering, marketing, and leadership to ensure customer success, with opportunities for growth in Navy contracting work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a business development leadership role.
• 20+ years in the U.S. Navy, retired Commander or higher.
• Background in modeling & simulation, flight training, or LVC systems.
• Proven success in capturing large Navy contracts.
• Strong knowledge of Navy acquisition programs and contracting vehicles.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance (U.S. Citizenship).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive Navy BD strategy aligned with growth.
• Shape requirements early in the acquisition cycle to fit Red 6 capabilities.
• Manage the full BD lifecycle from opportunity identification to contract transition.
• Establish trusted relationships with Navy decision-makers and partners.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, marketing, and leadership to ensure customer success.
• Deliver weekly staff updates and quarterly progress reports.
• Improve BD processes, including CRM, capture, and proposal workflows.
