Life Cycle Engineering in the United States is seeking a Power Controls Engineer to design, integrate, and sustain advanced electrical control systems and power distribution for defense and naval platforms. You will work on mission-critical systems focusing on safety, reliability, and performance.

The role requires 3+ years in electrical engineering with PLC/HMI development, power systems, and hands-on controls, plus the ability to obtain DoD clearance.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering; MS preferred
• Minimum 3 years in electrical/systems engineering with hands-on controls and power systems
• Proficiency in ladder logic PLCs, HMIs, and motion control tech
• Experience with power system engineering and data analysis
• Familiarity with electrical testing tools, real-time scripting, and motor protection relays
• Strong documentation and project management skills

Responsibilities

• Design and implement control systems for high-precision defense applications
• Develop and optimize PLCs and HMIs for legacy and new systems
• Create and maintain electrical schematics with AutoCAD
• Troubleshoot power systems and perform root-cause analysis
• Support integration and calibration of shipboard power systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to map requirements and test procedures
• Manage project schedules and deliverables using MS Project and Office
