Job summary

Textron Systems Electronic Systems in Goose Creek, SC is seeking a Naval Nuclear Propulsion Systems Engineer. The role requires SME expertise in naval propulsion systems and the ability to lead design reviews and training system integration.

You will support testing, documentation, and liaison with Navy and suppliers, and may travel 15-25% depending on contract phase. Must be able to obtain SECRET clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
• Five+ years of nuclear submarine propulsion system maintenance and engine room operation.
• Two+ years as the Training Propulsion Unit trainer operator preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering teams with knowledge of all system operations.
• Lead Training System Hardware/Software Integration and fidelity evaluation.
• Develop and/or review Training System documentation including Test Procedures and Instructional Materials.
• Maintain positive relationships with the Navy, customers, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Lead system design reviews and support training system upgrades.
