Job summary

Noblis MSD seeks a Mechanical Engineer to support Navy ship programs in areas including oil pollution abatement in the wastewater code. You will design, test, and evaluate mechanical systems, create drawings, perform calculations, and prototype new solutions for Navy/Coast Guard/Army vessels.

The role requires US citizenship with a SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one, and familiarity with 2D/3D design tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering or Electrical Engineering with 5 years related experience.
  • US citizen and active DoD security clearance at SECRET level or ability to obtain one.
  • Experience with equipment design principles.
  • Familiarity with 2D/3D engineering design & manufacturing tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor).
  • Experience reviewing models and drawings for manufacturability of parts.
  • Experience with documentation development including drawings, technical manuals, BOM.
  • Familiarity with military specifications for technical design.

Responsibilities

  • Create mechanical designs and drawings.
  • Write precise calculations.
  • Create and test prototypes for functionality.
  • Re-engineer products and recalculate for full functionality.
  • Prepare reports and leadership documentation.
  • Perform obsolescence evaluation and assist with replacements.
