Job summary

Johnson Controls Navy Systems in Norfolk, VA seeks an experienced Field Operations General Manager to lead field service teams across Norfolk, San Diego, and Seattle for marine HVAC projects. You will own P&L, drive sales, manage pipelines, and foster client relationships with US Navy stakeholders, reporting to the DC-based programs leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive field service experience.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Demonstrated experience in operations management.
• Integrity, quality, and proactive communication.
• Ability to influence C- and D-level decision makers.
• Experience with US government budgeting and contracting processes.
• Experience with field service scheduling and P&L oversight.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for all P&L, growth, and strategy for the field services team.
• Lead a team of sales executives and develop processes to close new opportunities.
• Coordinate and manage field service schedules and resources.
• Mentor and develop HVAC field technicians and managers.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
• Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of marine HVAC systems.
• Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency.
• Cultivate continuous improvement and client relationships.
• Monitor contracts and ensure commitments are met.
• Provide technical guidance and support as needed.
• Develop budgets and pricing; educate customers on funding programs.
• Understand business objectives and financial targets.
• Participate in industry events to demonstrate thought leadership.
