Job summary

GDIT is seeking a Marine HVAC Project Task Supervisor for waterfront shipboard work in Norfolk, VA. You will lead installed systems, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure safety and quality across shipyards and drydocks.

The role requires 5–8 years of related experience, US citizenship, and hands-on leadership in marine HVAC environments; you will work in shipyards aboard naval vessels with variable weather conditions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience
• US Citizenship Required: Yes
• Deep familiarity with marine/shipboard HVAC systems (chillers, air handlers, ductwork) and reading blueprints
• Experience leading technical teams and coordinating subcontractors
• Knowledge of NAVSEA standards and related NSTM guidance

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site HVAC installation, maintenance, and technical teams aboard ships
• Coordinate subcontractors and ensure adherence to marine safety standards
• Develop and track project plans, milestones and QA of deliverables
• Prepare status reports and manage project trackers (POAMs)
• Supervise ductwork layout, installation and balancing to meet design criteria
