Job summary

BB&E is seeking a Construction Surveillance Engineer to support NAVFAC Southeast in Barksdale, LA. You will oversee inspection, QA, and contract administration across repair, demolition, and new construction projects.

Candidate will review submittals, schedules, safety plans, and cost estimates; prepare reports and field pay worksheets; ensure environmental compliance and proper documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience with large capital projects (> $5M) in a construction mgmt role.
• Knowledge of federal building design criteria and specs.
• Proven ability to prepare reports, briefs, and cost estimates.
• Experience with RFIs, submittals, and schedule analysis.

Responsibilities

• Provide management support for FEAD/ROICC construction services and QA on site.
• Review submittals, schedules, and Contractor’s safety/quality plans.
• Prepare CRRs, CCCNs, and construction cost narratives.
• Monitor CQC compliance and environmental protection requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors on outages, permits, and field changes.
