Job summary

BB&E is seeking a Construction Surveillance Engineer to support NAVFAC Southeast operations in Jacksonville, FL. The role involves inspection, QA oversight, and contract administration across repair, demolition, and new construction projects, coordinating with FEAD/ROICC and contractors.

You will monitor CQC compliance, review submittals and schedules, and prepare CRRs and cost estimates. Strong communication and scheduling skills are essential for multi-year programs.

Qualifications

• Construction technical competencies to verify workmanship.
• Knowledge of scheduling methods and Primavera/Suretrak/P3/P6 and MS Project.
• Proficiency with MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook, Acrobat, and RS Means/CostWorks.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, both written and oral; prepare reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide management support to FEAD/ROICC for construction inspection, QA, and contract administration.
• Coordinate outage requests, permits, haul routes, and related items for contractor work.
• Attend meetings, take notes, and brief FEAD/ROICC on issues and progress.
• Prepare construction reports and CRRs; review submittals for government approval.
• Review construction schedules, CQC plans, and safety plans; provide recommendations.
