Job summary

Serco Inc. is seeking an Engineer in Arlington, VA to support complex Navy programs, including lifecycle management for LCU classes and engineering documentation updates. The position involves program management support, testing and evaluation, and waterfront oversight, with travel as needed and heavy emphasis on IL/CM processes and engineering analysis.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance (Post-Employment).
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from ABET-accredited college or university.
• Professional experience can substitute for degree with minimum 5 years of specific work experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
• Experience in shipyard or naval facility environments.
• Willingness to travel (10%) to shipyards or naval facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic program management support in scheduling, tracking metrics, and cost estimating.
• Assist the customer with coordinating meetings and tracking action items.
• Track customer workload and flag priority issues for attention.
• Keep team planning tools up to date and navigate processes.
• Perform basic engineering work including analysis, design, testing, and computations.
• Provide production support for documentation defining baseline craft and modifications.
• Draft technical documentation and support for emergent issues in the Fleet.
• Collaborate with government and contractor personnel to brief leadership and implement changes.
• Perform and review data analysis and present results.
• Review test plans and reports.
