Job summary

Serco is seeking an Engineer in Arlington, VA to support Navy amphibious warfare programs and cradle‑to‑grave engineering tasks. The role requires DoD Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship, with a focus on documentation, testing, and engineering support across life cycles.

Candidate will assist with program management, technical manuals, design reports, and fleet system improvements while collaborating with government and contractor teams.

Qualifications

• ABET accredited engineering degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of specific work experience can substitute for the degree.
• DoD Secret clearance required post-employment.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Strong MS Office skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic program management support: scheduling, tracking metrics, cost estimating.
• Coordinate meetings and track action items with the customer.
• Track workload and flag priority issues for customer attention.
• Keep team planning tools up to date.
• Learn program processes and guide the technical team through them.
• Perform basic engineering work: analysis, design, development, testing and evaluation; collect data and perform calculations.
