Job summary

Progress Residential is seeking a Workforce Development Trainer to deliver the Technical Skills Academy and other development programs for front-line employees. The role requires frequent travel, estimated 50-75% of the time, and partnership with Workforce Development Managers to align curricula with business needs.

The ideal candidate will design content, engage with technical schools, and support onboarding while leveraging learning technologies to improve outcomes across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Learning and Development, Education, or related field.
• Knowledge of adult learning theories and L&D best practices.
• Experience delivering training in multiple formats (classroom, virtual, on-the-job, synchronous, asynchronous).
• Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, actionable content.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; proficiency with MS Office and course development tools.
• Spanish bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create training content aligned with training best practices.
• Support apprenticeship or entry-level technician programs to meet business needs.
• Develop strong relationships with leading technical schools and colleges across the US to build talent pipelines.
• Provide interview, hiring and onboarding support for regional markets to increase throughput.
• Identify and implement nationally recognized skill-based curriculums for frontline employees.
• Evaluate current training programs and learner performance and suggest improvements.
• Test learning technologies to improve engagement, development of talent and learning impact.
• Analyze learning data and communicate training effectiveness and outcomes.
