Job summary

Progress Residential is seeking a Workforce Development Trainer to drive training across the organization and oversee Progress Residential University’s Technical Skills Academy. The role emphasizes developing competencies for front-line employees and aligning curricula with business needs.

Frequent travel (50-75%) is required, with a focus on building partnerships with technical schools and delivering flexible training formats to meet diverse workforce demands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (HR, Business Administration, Learning and Development, Education, or other related fields) or relevant experience.
• Knowledge of adult learning theories and learning and development best practices.
• Experience designing instructional materials in a variety of media.
• Must be flexible to deliver training in a variety of formats: classroom, virtual, on-the-job, synchronous, asynchronous.

Responsibilities

• Create specific training content aligned with training best practices.
• Support apprenticeship or entry-level technician programs and field trainers.
• Develop relationships with leading technical schools and colleges across the US for talent pipelines.
• Provide interview, hiring and onboarding support for regional markets.
• Identify and implement nationally recognized skill-based curriculums for frontline employees.
• Evaluate training programs and learner performance and suggest improvements.
• Test learning technologies to improve engagement and outcomes.
